Modest Hollywood

Modest Hollywood is a post that brings together of all the best and most fabulously dressed modest women of the week, and once again our lady celebs deliver. I have a special place in my heart for the lovely Kate Middleton on that peach ensemble (she really can do no wrong in my eyes), but I positively adore Isla Fisher and Maggie Gyllenhaal's white goddess looks. Katy Perry brings a sophistication to her wild ways (and I kinda love it), and the ladies in black (Carrie, Emilia, Portia, Stacey, Jessica and Julianne) are ravishing. I can especially see myself in Olivia Wilde's dress, but that's just me. Kim K even stepped up her game-- not my choice of pregnancy shifts, but she's Kim K. so I'll shut up. So y'all, name me one woman on this list who is not bringing it. Exactly. They are all the shiz.

Modest Hollywood

Oh Modest Hollywood, you never cease to amaze me. The amount of celebs who have been embracing the modesty trend is astounding and impressive for 2013. In a world where bare midriffs reign supreme, these ladies are the bees knees in attire and class. Mama always said that less is more and these ladies certainly prove that the old adage is true. So what can we take away from this fantabulous run-down of modest ladies? COLOR. I know that New York certainly hasn't gotten the message, but it is officially spring, so gone be the days of chunky monochrome sweaters and neutral tones-- it's time to dress in technicolor. Turquoise courtesy of Salma Hayek and Jessica Pare, for example? Julianne Moore is rocking a stellar purple, and Kourtney Kardashian and Katy Perry embrace the blues in their lives, Rita and Rebel are red hot, and Julianne Hough gives orange a good name. And if color's not your thing? Wear white! Don't fear it-- thanks go to the three Kates for that one (Hudson, Mara and Middleton). Your spring and summer trends have officially begun. Now go.
