Modest Hollywood

We can just call this 'Modest Hollywood - Amazing Edition'. Aside from the White House Correspondents' Dinner-- which had a red carpet of who's who in Hollywood. Seriously it was like the Oscars, or something-- there were some serious stunners that made my jaw drop in an utterly fabulous way. Camilla Belle especially wowed with three unbelievably gorgeous spring frocks! As for the WHCD, Charlize, Kate H., Kerry, Dakota, and  Kate U. all showed their classy sides, and I positively adore Rashida Jones' outfit! PS Odette Anable's gown blows my mind. Well done ladies of Hollywood-- I'm shepping.

Pretty Item of the Day

K, so I know I posted a maxi skirt this color a little while back, but this one from ASOS is sooooo purdy (read: pretty). When I watch the runway video on the site, it just makes me want to put the skirt on and never take it off. Bonus: this bright blue skirt also comes in a cream color, which would be perfect for summer! Plus, BLUE and WHITE skirts in honor of Israel Independence Day! Happy Birthday Israel!!

Neutral Item of the Day

 Oh my, what a pretty dress! It's loose fitting, but still structured enough to show off the parts of your body that you want to enhance! It's certainly modest, and it is the perfect color for anyone and everyone. If you're worried about feeling washed out in this though, try livening up the totally bare color with some brights, like a coral colored belt and some green shoes. Add black for a more dramatic effect, or embrace my "must" of the moment, which is pastel--this neutral base is so perfect for a pastel color palette!

Trendy Item of the Day

I absolutely adore prints that make it easy to mix and match, and this skirt from J. Crew is absolutely perfect for just that. The print is exciting but subtle, and the colors are so neutral and vibrant at the same time, that it will be really  great when mixing prints. I myself love mixing prints that don't normally go together--it really gives they eye a twist it doesn't expect. And if mixing prints is not your thing, this skirt is loud enough to pair with just solids as well, something that will look especially good in the Fall with a pair of tights. Win/win!

Pleated skirts. We frummies are notorious for these bad boys, and ones that extra adorable and cute are no exception. This one from ASOS is is so versatile and the color is perfectly neutral; it's great for any season, depending on the top you pair it with, as well as shoes and accessories. It's hard to find a nice, soft, flowy knee-length skirt nowadays, so when an opportunity like this comes along, don't pass it up!

Modest Hollywood

Va va voom! So much red in Hollywood this week, and I can't say I hate it! These famous ladies are making their Hollywood rounds in some truly classy and modest outfits. Behold, proof that less is more! There is certainly something to be said about the allure of covering up your body, and the proof is in the pudding with these ladies. My favorites this week are Emily Blunt-- that red lace dress blows my mind-- and I adore Elizabeth Banks and Olivia Wilde as well. Spring is the time to let loose and have fun, and these ladies embraced that wholeheartedly!

I love love love this dress! It has  such a an Audrey-Hepburn-classic feel and silhouette with the high neckline, long hem, and cinched waist, but the print and colors make it totally contemporary and chic. The neutral colors will make it a fabulous fit for ladies of all skin tones, and it will truly accentuate all the right areas of your body, no matter how big or small you are. Stuff and Save Item of the Day

Happy stuff and save time! I know you have all undoubtedly got the coupon in the mail for the Old Navy stuff and save hoopla, so make sure you stop by there to pick up all your basics and faves. I love shopping at ON because their stuff is seasonal and comfy. I have been searching for a basic, casual, collarless button down in Navy for a while now, so when I saw the one below, I knew it was exactly the basic top I needed. I love buying cheap clothing and pairing it with some of my more expensive piece, and Old Navy is perfect at providing the basic layers to build up a fabulous outfit!

Chambray Item of the Day

I LOVE when I find shirts that go with anything and everything! Denim does the trick everytime, only mostly it's the bottom that's denim and a top that we're looking ot have match everything else. Not anymore! This modest top from J. Crew (a bit expensive, but wait till it goes on sale and you have a coupon) is the ultimate top, because it will match any skirt you have-- black, white, coral, green-- any it will flatter SO many figures because it's a loose fitting, wide neck shirt. Plus, it's such a clean palette, that you can accessorize with so many different types of jewelry and accessories.  Finally, you can get use out of all those everyday skirts that are not denim!
