I don't know about you, but I find that maxi dresses tend to come in the sleeveless or strapless variety, so when I find a maxi dress that has sleeves I get super excited. This adorable dress from Piperlime has a real Missoni print like feel to it, but is a fraction of the price. These colors should work on almost every or any complexion, which I love. It's not too overly bohemian that you look like an Olsen sister, but it's just loose enough that women of all sizes should be comfortable wearing it. I like that it has a bit more structure because maxi dresses tend to have way more material than other pieces of clothing, which people can get lost in; in other words: no 'tent-effect" here!

Floral Item of the Day

Looking for a more subdued springtime skirt that would be great for work or play? Behold, this floral print skirt is the answer to your prayer! I picture this fabulous, fowy skirt with a lightweight top and espadrilles for the weekend, but then with a navy blue linen blazer and a pair of nude pumps for work. The print is large enough to be casual for both settings, and it's feminene but not too girly. Perfect!

Modest Hollyowood

Doing a Modest Hollywood post is always my absolute favorite! I love love love looking at these well dressed, [mostly] modest women, and this week is no exception. Can we just discuss the especially large amount of cerulean and royal blue and bright yellow that is bursting in this post? #Adore. 

I am especially in love with Vanessa Lachey's outfit because it's 900% something I would wear to work, and being that i work with statistics all day, that is an actual and true figure. Emily Blunt's dress is drop dead gorgeous and I cannot deny Dianna Agron's chic and effortless style.

Pink Item of the Day

Gotta love these romantical items that totally take the cake in the girly-girl department. This top from Ruche is so super adorable and it's kind of a basic. It's only 37 dollars (!) and it has a wear-everywhere feel. I mean, how wrong can you go with just a plain pink top (with adorable details, of course--I especially love the scalloped edging on the hem of the shirt), and it's a great, airy top as we head into the summer.

Blue Item of the Day

Hey hey now! Beyonce can't be the only gal with something Blue in her life! Let me be the first to tell you that bright blue maxi skirts are on of the pieces of the moment to have. Kim Kardashian was recently seen sporting a bright blue maxi skirt with a white top and gold belt (google it); while hers undoubtedly cost trillions of dollars, this one from Gap is reasonably priced and the perfect materiel for playtime, but can totally be dressed up for an evening out. I wouldn't wear it to a wedding, but totally have fun with this piece in day or night! I especially love maxi skirts for traveling because they are easy to wear, functional, and cute.

Ruffle Item of the Day

Romance, Frills, Whimsy. Those are all the things I think about when I see ruffles on clothing. This tasteful top from LOFT would look so adorable under a cardigan or even over a white kikiriki top. The ombre effect is fabulous and the colors are perfect for anyone who is female. Not to mention, it would certainly cover up the hefty meal from last night's seder with ease-- the ruffles will hide a multitude of sins. It would look so perfect with a full skirt on bottom, PERFECT for spring!

Modest Hollywood never fails to disappoint, and while these posts have been slightly fewer and more far between (sad face) I rarely fail to be impressed.
